We have put together a golfing break that give you the opportunity of playing this championship course only a few miles away from your accommodation.
Based on two sharing, we can offer accommodation in one of our luxury rooms with full english breakfast, evening meal and golf on either the Priestman or Hunting Courses. Transfers can be arranged to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Slaley Hall is set in a 1000 acre oasis of prime Northumbrian forest and moor land. Here it boasts two of the most stunning and challenging championship courses in the country. The 7080 yard, par 72 "Hunting" is a treasure of a golf course, magnificently maintained and hosts several flagship events. A Dave Thomas designed par 72 course with lush sweeping fairways. Don't be lulled by the rolling moorland, streams and lakes, towering trees and banks of rhododendrons - this course will catch out the unwary. Well placed bunkers and tricky greens make this USGA standard course a real challenge and lives up to it’s mantel of being the “Augusta of the North”. On the west side of the estate, with panoramic views of the Tyne Valley, this Neil Coles designed course regularly hosts major PGA European Seniors events. Wind can be a factor on this 7000 yard undulating course, criss crossed by streams. But don't be put off, this is a classic course and suitable for all levels of golfer.
